Use of Psyllium Husk: Psyllium is a natural, soluble fiber used mainly as a bulk forming laxative. In Thailand the product has been approved by the FDA for supporting regularity of bowel movement and easing constipation*,**

Composition per unit: Each sachet (5 g) contains: 95% pure Psyllium husk (in compliance with US FDA and European standards for natural fiber) of paghula Husk) of the seed of the plant Plantago ovata.

Dosage Form: Powder in sachet

Pack Size: Box of 30 sachets

Recommended Dosage & Administration: Adults: One sachet, 1-3 times a day; Children 6-12 years: Half of adult dose. Take at least 8 ounces of fluid. Not recommended for children younger than 6 years of age.

Special Precautions & Warnings: Do not take if you have acute abdominal pain, bowel obstruction.

Please consult your physician before taking Psyllium Husk products if you have diabetes, or Gastrointestinal (GI) or swallowing disorders, or if you are taking diabetes or anti-clotting medicines, or estrogen.

Warning: Choking

Taking this product without adequate fluid may cause it to swell and block your throat or esophagus and may cause choking. Do not take this product if you have difficulty in swallowing. If you experience chest pain, vomiting, or difficulty in swallowing or breathing after taking this product, seek immediate medical attention.

Side Effects: In some people, Psyllium might cause gas, stomach pain, diarrhea, constipation, and nausea. It has also been linked to reports of headache, backache, runny nose, cough, and sinus problems. Some can get allergic response. Stop taking Ispaghula and get immediate medical attention.*

General Information: Psyllium (also known as Ispaghula husk) is a plant native to India and neighboring countries. The husks absorb water and expand, and their benefits as a source of soluble but indigestible fiber for cleansing colon, regulating bowel movement and other aspects of GI health were recognized in India's Ayurvedic medicine centuries ago. Today they are widely used to relieve constipation, and to maintain general GI health; and its effect in reducing cholesterol levels in people with mild to moderate high cholesterol is currently being studied.*
